Description
Idi hotel is a family run hotel, situated 1 km away from village Zaros which is famous for its clean water sources and 800 m away from Lake Votomos on the foothills of Psiloritis (Idi Mountain), established in 1980. Property is surrounded by the mountain and the flora of the area. Has a big garden with grass, variety of fruit trees and flowers. In the swimming pool situated in the garden, visitors can relax and enjoy the nature around them. Visitors will have the experience, waking up to a symphony of bird song in a peaceful environment, taste fresh fish from our own fish farm, fresh water from the fountain located in the entrance of the hotel and the opportunity to view the process of grinding barley and wheat which are converted into flour in the last remaining traditional water mill in Crete located in our property.
The rooms are spacious, fully furnished and include a private bathroom with free toiletries and hairdryer, air conditioning, balcony with view (mountain-garden-pool), refrigerator, TV 32’’ and satellite channels. The Tavern
In the tavern Votomos, except trout, carps en sturgeons out of our own fishery, you can eat as well self made traditional food from Zaros. The meat we use is fresh and is coming from our region and the vegetables are coming out of ou garden and are biologic.
